Blackwater Marathon

The Blackwater Marathon is an annual event held at Drapers Farm Sports Club in Heybridge, Essex. Celebrating its 25th edition in 2025, the marathon features a circular route on the north side of the River Blackwater estuary, traversing cross country footpaths and sections of seawall. Participants can choose between two distances: 26.5 miles with three checkpoints or 18 miles with two checkpoints.

The event offers refreshments at the start, snacks at checkpoints, and a light meal at the finish, along with a finisher's certificate.
