Blacktown Mayoral Fun Run
The Blacktown Mayoral Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday 16 August 2026 at Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside. The route starts at Boronia Reserve and winds through bushland, the Aboriginal heritage garden and the Chang Lai Yuan Chinese gardens.
The event offers two race distances:
- 5 km
- 2.5 km
Prizes are available for best dressed and every race participant receives a finisher medal. There are activities along the route and at the finish line, including chalk art, cultural drumming, bubbles, pop up music, Chinese flute, didgeridoo, a fun tunnel and an obstacle course.
Entry categories and fees are listed as Kids $5 for ages three to 15, Adults $10 for ages 16 and over, and Family $25 for two adults and two kids. A fun run route map and parking map are provided for the event. The event notes that the fun run course measurement may not be to scale on event day.
