Blacktown Mayoral Fun Run
The Blacktown Mayoral Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday 16 August 2026 at Nurragingy Reserve, Knox Road, Doonside. The event starts at Boronia Reserve and follows a route through the bushlands, the Aboriginal heritage garden and the Chang Lai Yuan Chinese gardens.
Races are held over the following distances:
- 5 km
- 2.5 km
Each race awards finisher medals to participants and includes a prize for best dressed. Entry categories and fees are listed as Kids $5 for ages 3 to 15, Adults $10 for ages 16 and over, and Family $25 for two adults and two children.
There will be activities at the finish area and along the route, including chalk art, cultural drumming, bubbles, pop up music, Chinese flute, didgeridoo, a fun tunnel and an obstacle course at the finish line. The course passes through natural landscapes and garden areas within Nurragingy Reserve.
