Blacktown Mayoral Fun Run
The Blacktown Mayoral Fun Run takes place in Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside on Sunday 16 August 2026. The event starts at Boronia Reserve and follows a course that passes through bushland, an Aboriginal heritage garden and the Chang Lai Yuan Chinese gardens. The organiser notes the fun run course measurement may not be to scale on event day.
There are two race distances offered:
- 5 km
- 2.5 km
Prizes are listed for best dressed and finisher medals are provided for each race participant. Entry categories and prices published for the event are: kids from 3 to 15 years priced at $5, adults 16 years and over priced at $10, and a family option priced at $25 for two adults and two kids.
Activities are planned at the finish area and along the route. These include chalk art, cultural drumming, bubbles, pop up music, Chinese flute, didgeridoo, a fun tunnel and an obstacle course at the finish line.
