Black Hog Brewing Co. 5K Road Race
This is a 5K road race held on September 5, 2026 at Black Hog Brewing Co., 115 Hurley Rd Building 9A, Oxford, CT. The race field is limited to 500 registrants.
The event benefits Friends of Southbury Animal Control, with donations being collected on race day to support animals in the local community.
Race amenities include professional chip timing, USA/TF certification, division awards, custom race bibs, a race T-shirt (register by 8/21/26 to guarantee a shirt), live post race music, and post race refreshments. Post race beverage provisions note one free beer for participants 21 and over and one free soft drink for participants under 21. Bib pickup is scheduled for Friday 9/4 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday 9/5 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM; the Friday pickup notes a $5 pour.
The listed course begins in front of the Black Hog and follows the complex driveway to the west exit, then turns onto Hurley Road, Pope Road, Hawley Road, Christian Street, Bala Ridge Road, Donovan Road, and returns via Hurley Road into the east entrance of the complex to finish in front of the Black Hog. Runners will be directed with cones on Hawley Road (north side) and Christian Street (west side).
