Black Hog Brewing Co. 5K Road Race
The event is a 5 km road race held at Black Hog Brewing Co., 115 Hurley Rd Building 9A, Oxford, CT. It takes place on September 5, 2026 and is limited to 500 registrants.
The race benefits Friends of Southbury Animal Control. Donations will also be collected on race day. Bib pickup is scheduled for Friday 9/4 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday 9/5 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Race amenities include a race T-shirt (guaranteed for registrations by 8/21/26), custom race bibs, division awards, and post-race refreshments. Participants aged 21 or older receive one free beer; those under 21 receive one free soft drink. The event features live post-race music and professional chip timing and is USA Track and Field certified.
The course starts in front of the Black Hog and follows local roads with several turns: driveway south, west exit, left onto Hurley Road, left onto Pope Road, left onto Hawley Road (runners restricted to the north side with cones), left onto Christian Street (runners restricted to the west side with cones), left onto Hurley Road, right onto Bala Ridge Road, left onto Donovan Road, right onto Hurley Road, then south into the east entrance and back to the finish in front of Black Hog.
