Black-eyed Pea 2026 Fun Run & 5K
The Black-eyed Pea 2026 Fun Run & 5K, sponsored by UT Health East Texas and organized by the Greater Athens Chamber of Commerce, takes place on October 17 at the Cain Center YMCA in Athens, TX.
The event features a timed 5K and a short family run. Distances included:

New medal categories will be awarded for the timed 5K. Every participant receives a free T-shirt. The program includes adult and youth divisions; youth entries for the listed events are offered at no fee for participants 12 and under.
