Birkenhead Park 5 Mile - 22 July 2026

The Birkenhead Park 5 Mile is a road race organised by Wirral AC, held in Birkenhead Park at the Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre (Park Drive, CH41 4HY, United Kingdom). The 2026 event is the 54th running of the race; the event began in 1972 and has been run each year, with a virtual edition in 2020.

Race facilities and awards include chip timing on an accredited course, a memento for all finishers, free professional race photos, and a water station on each lap. There is a £100 prize for a new course record for both male and female runners, and cash prizes for first, second and third place finishers in both male and female categories (£50, £30, £10).

Registration will take place at the visitors centre at the finish area. Entry options listed for 2026 include a standard fee of £20 with a £17 UKA rate, a Wirral AC members fee of £12, and a booking fee of 6% (minimum £0.60).
