Birkenhead Park 5 Mile 2026

The 54th running of the Birkenhead Park 5 Mile takes place on 22 July 2026 at The Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre, in the Lower Park near St Marys Cricket Club. The event is organised by Wirral AC.

The race uses chip timing on an accredited course and provides a memento to all finishers. There is a cash prize of £100 for a course record for both male and female runners, and cash prizes for the first, second and third male and female finishers of £50, £30 and £10 respectively. Free professional photos will be provided. Water is available on each lap.

A separate kids 1 mile race is included, with a memento for participants. Registration is handled at the visitors centre in the finish area. Entry fees shown include a standard rate of £20, a discounted UKA affiliated rate and a Wirral AC members rate of £12. A booking fee of 6 percent applies, minimum £0.60. The refund policy offers a full refund less a £2 charge until 30 April 2026.
