Birkenhead Park 5 Mile 2026

The Birkenhead Park 5 Mile Road Race takes place on 22 July 2026 at the Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre area. This is the 54th running of the event, which began in 1972 and has been held every year since, with a virtual event during lockdown in 2020.

Race entries include chip timing on an accredited course and a memento for all finishers. Prize arrangements include a £100 award for a course record for both male and female runners and cash prizes for the first three male and first three female finishers of £50, £30 and £10. Free professional photos will be provided and a water station is available on each lap.

A separate kids 1 mile race is organised with a memento for participants. Registration takes place at the visitors centre in the finish area. Entry options listed include a standard adult fee, a reduced fee for UKA affiliated members with an additional £3 discount if details match the UKA database, and a members only fee for Wirral AC. A full refund less a £2 charge is available until 30 April 2026.
