Bill Elder 10k 2026
Greenock Glenpark Harriers will host the annual Bill Elder 10 km road race on Friday 7 August 2026 at the Royal West of Scotland Boat Club, Esplanade, Greenock.
The course is a fast, flat, scenic out-and-back that follows the coast along the River Clyde. It is presented for runners targeting a personal best as well as for those attempting the distance for the first time; a friendly tail runner will support slower participants to help ensure they finish.
Race fee for the 10 km is £20 / £23. All profits will be donated to the local charity The Anchor. Voucher prizes are offered to the first overall finishers and across age categories from U20s to O70s. Entry includes a post-race barbecue with burgers, hot dogs and a vegetarian equivalent.
The event is open to runners aged 17 or older on race day. A 50% refund is payable if entry is cancelled before 7 July; no refunds are issued after that date or for non-attendance. Entry is limited to 350 participants and a wait list will operate if the limit is reached. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
