Event Overview
Running through the Decades - Oklahoma City is a themed running event hosted by the Bigfoot Running Company at Wheeler Park. The 1980s Edition features a retro atmosphere with 80s music, a pre-race costume contest, and a live DJ. The event is held on a course consisting of paved trails, park paths, and some mixed surfaces such as crushed granite or dirt. As the race takes place in public park areas, participants share the space with other park users.
Race Distances
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile chip-timed course.
- Quarter Marathon: A 6.55-mile chip-timed course.
- 5K Run: A 3.11-mile chip-timed race.
- 1 Mile Run: An untimed event focused on participation.
- Kids Dash: A 50-meter run for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Run: A 13.1-mile distance option for remote participation.
