Spring Fling - Austin (Bigfoot Running Company)
The Spring Fling Race Series is presented by Bigfoot Running Company and takes place at East Metro Park in Manor, TX. The event offers multiple race options and a race rally area with music, awards, and on-course support.
Race distances include:
- Kids Dash (20-yard dash for 10 and under)
- 1 Mile (not chip-timed)
- 5K 3.11 miles (chip-timed)
- 10K 6.22 miles
- Volunteer then Run 5K 3.11 miles
- Virtual Run
Amenities and services listed for the event include finisher medals, race shirts, a live DJ, finish-line name announcements, aid stations on course, snacks and refreshments at the Race Rally Tent, and live awards. The 5K and 10K offer age group awards and overall trophies, with a masters recognition for age 40 and over. Age groups and standard medal placements are published for both distance events.
Volunteer options cover both running and non-running roles. Examples of volunteer roles: water station, course monitors, finish line helper, packet pickup, turtle/sweeper, floater, lead bike, and mascot. Volunteers receive race shirts and other benefits depending on the role.
Important notes: packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race start; shirt guarantee is 10 days before race day; races proceed in varied weather; and course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
