Mardi Gras Madness - Austin takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at East Metro Park, 9080 Burleson Manor Rd, Manor, TX 78653. The event is organized by Bigfoot Running Company and includes in-person and virtual options. All participants receive a finisher medal and a race t-shirt.
Distances
- Kids Dash - ~50 meters, ages 10 and under.
- 1 Mile - open to all ages, not chip timed.
- 5K - chip timed, 3.11 miles.
- 10K - chip timed, 6.22 miles.
- Volunteer then Run 5K - volunteer for about 1.5 hours, then run the 5K; limited to 10 spots.
- Virtual Run - complete remotely.
Details, awards and logistics
Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event start. Courses are usually held on parks and greenbelts with mostly paved trails; sections of crushed granite and dirt may occur. Aid stations provide hydration and volunteers will distribute Mardi Gras beads along the course.
5K and 10K awards include 1st overall male and female Bigfoot Trophy, 1st Masters (40+) recognition pins, and age group awards. Age groups range from 10 & under through 70+. Youth pricing for the 5K and 10K is $15 for ages 12 and under. Registering at least 10 days before race day guarantees shirt size.
