Big Wolf's Backyard Ultra Outaouais
Big Wolf’s Backyard Ultra Outaouais takes place on 19 September 2026 at a new site, Centre Nakkertok Sud, located at 900 Avenue Gatineau in Gatineau. The event is presented as the Outaouais stop on the Big Wolf’s Backyard Ultra circuit and uses a forest setting for repeated looped laps.
The course runs entirely on trail under a continuous tree canopy in the heart of the Cantley forest. It is described as slightly technical, with natural singletrack and undergrowth rather than paved surfaces. Runners follow loops in a secluded area where the sounds of nature are prominent and autumn colours are visible along the route.
The environment is noted for abundant red and orange leaves in season, and the layout aims to keep participants within a wooded setting away from urban noise. The description focuses on a natural, forested trail experience on largely unpaved terrain. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
