Big Sky Community Organization Fourth of July 5K Fun Run
The event is a community 5K held at Len Hill Park in Big Sky, Montana. The course is on trails and includes a noticeable increase in incline compared with previous years. An aid station is available roughly midcourse for water and snacks. Prizes are awarded to age group winners and for the most patriotic costume. After the race there are breakfast treats and coffee, and family activities such as face painting and craft decorating.
The event offers multiple participation options: an in-person 5K race, a virtual 5K where participants may complete the distance on the official route in Big Sky or on a route of their choice, and a "Phantom Runner" option for supporters who do not run. Bib pickup is provided at the BASE Community Center in Big Sky. Standard registration fee is $35; same-day registration is listed at $40.
