Big Gifts for Little Lives 10th annual 5K
This event is the 10th annual 5K held at Rundle Park in Edmonton on May 23, 2026. It offers an in person option in Edmonton and a virtual option that can be completed anywhere in Canada.
Distances offered
- 5K in person or virtual, available for adults and youth.
- 1K in person for youth under 10.
The in person 5K will be chip timed by Results Canada. The first male and first female finishers will each receive a CA$100 cash prize. Adult participants will receive a race package that includes a t shirt, a race number and Hoka slides while sizes last. If Hoka slides are no longer available, participants will receive a metal insulated water bottle instead. Race packages will be sent two weeks before the event to local Running Room stores for pickup.
On site at Rundle Park there will be family activities including a bouncy castle and a face painter. A post race BBQ and snacks provided by Calmont will be available and every person at the in person event with a race number will receive a free meal.
