Big Dog's Backyard Ultra : October 17, 2026
Big Dog's Backyard Ultra is a Last Man Standing running event held in Bell Buckle, TN at the Big Farm-Short Creek location. The race is scheduled as part of the World Backyard Ultra Team Championships on the third Saturday in October 2026.
Entry to the event is limited to athletes who qualify by winning silver ticket events or by ranking among the top at large performers in their nation over the preceding two years. All athletes who have earned a silver ticket are being accepted. The United States team will include the top 15 qualified American athletes who are citizens or permanent residents.
The qualifying period closes on August 15, 2026. Results from the qualifying period are to be recorded within a week of that date, at which point the at large list will be finalized and qualified athletes confirmed. Organizers will contact qualified athletes who have not applied to determine their intentions and to make places available to alternates as needed. As qualifying progresses, additional places may be offered to at large athletes who have equaled or exceeded 100 hours.
