Big Dog's Backyard Ultra
Big Dog's Backyard Ultra is a Last Man Standing event scheduled for October 17, 2026 in Bell Buckle, TN. It serves as a site for the World Backyard Ultra Team Championships and will include athletes who qualified through designated methods.
All participants will have qualified either by winning silver ticket events or by placing among the top At-Large performers in their nation over the prior two years. The United States team will be formed from the top 15 qualified American athletes who are citizens or permanent residents. The qualifying period closes on August 15, 2026; results are expected to be entered within a week after that date and the At-Large list will then be final.
Athletes who win a silver ticket are accepted automatically. Organizers will confirm intentions with any qualified athletes who do not apply in order to offer places to alternates. As qualifying concludes, additional At-Large places may be offered to athletes whose accumulated yards or hours make them unlikely to be displaced; at one stage the event will accept athletes who have equaled or exceeded 100 hours.
