Big Dog Heatwave 5 Miler
The Big Dog Heatwave 5 Miler is a point-to-point road race held in Columbus, Georgia on July 18, 2026. The course begins at Lake Oliver Marina, 5501 River Rd, and finishes at Big Dog Uptown on 11th Street (12 W 11th St., Columbus, GA 31901). The advertised distance is 5 Miles. Organizers note there will not be buses to the start or finish and suggest parking near the finish and using one car to reach the start line.
Registration details include an early-bird price of $30 through July 3 and a higher price of $40 from July 4 through July 17; there is no race day registration. A race T-shirt is guaranteed for participants registered by July 10 at 12 noon. Packet pick up is at Big Dog Fleet Feet, 12 W 11th Street, on Friday, July 17 from 12:00 to 6:00 PM only. The event is part of the CRR Summer Series; athletes registered for the Summer Series do not need to register separately for this race. Proceeds benefit Lifebridge Child Advocacy. Award categories include 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall, 1st Masters, and age-group awards in 10-year increments up to 70+ with male and female divisions.
