Big Bertha Trail Run
The Big Bertha Trail Run on 22/8/26 is a 12 hour endurance event held on trails around Bertha Loch and Almondbank. The course is a 10 km loop; participants complete as many 10 km laps as they choose within the 12 hour period. The event accepts solo runners and teams.
The event uses chip timing with live results as runners cross the finish. Water is provided on course at approximately 5 km. The route is fully marked and marshalled and a medic team is present. Insurance for participants is included. Prizes are awarded for the furthest distance and for female, male and non-binary winners, and every finisher receives a medal produced by The Workshop Aberfeldy. Free all-day parking is available and refreshments are offered at the finish by Starfish Cakes and Bakery. The event is organised by Wee Run Events, a community interest company based in the central belt of Scotland that runs not for profit events and has over 40 years of event experience. Previous editions took place in 2024 and 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
