Bideford 10 Miler
The Bideford 10 Miler is a measured 10 mile running event held on 1 November 2026 and organised by Bideford Amateur Athletic Club. The course is certified with a Certificate of Course Accuracy 19/580. The route starts and finishes close to the club clubhouse and takes in views of the Taw and Torridge estuary. The course heads out on roads and returns along the Tarka Trail, including a short tunnel section, and is described by the organisers as moderately flat with small inclines.
Water stations are provided on the course at about miles 3, 5 and 7, with bottled water supplied by Tarka Springs. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a T shirt, with sizes allocated from the original entry and substitutions only after all finishers have received theirs. Results are available online on the day but remain provisional for 48 hours.
The event supports North Devon Hospice. Prizes are awarded on the day and include cash awards and trophies for top finishers and age categories, plus a cash bonus for a new course record. Entry is subject to race rules that exclude walkers, dogs and wheeled devices. Headphones and earphones are not permitted and there is a race cut off of 2 hours 30 minutes. Online entries close Friday 30 October 2026 or when the race reaches a capacity of 900 runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
