The bg26.2 & half marathon and bg6000 is a multi-event running weekend on October 31 to November 1, 2026, centered at Bowling Green Ballpark, 300 8th Avenue, Bowling Green, KY. The event uses a USATF certified, Boston Marathon qualifying course that starts and finishes at the ballpark and follows a 13.1 mile loop through downtown Bowling Green and the Western Kentucky University campus. Marathon participants run the loop twice.

Race logistics include packet pick-up, an expo, and a pasta dinner at the ballpark on Saturday, and race day packet pick-up at the ballpark concession window on Sunday morning. All finishers receive a medal plus post-race refreshments; post-race stretches and massages are available. The event enforces course rules: no strollers or dogs, bibs must be visible on the front, and unauthorized cyclists are not permitted. Marathon runners must pass five course checkpoints and half marathoners two checkpoints. There is a six hour course time limit and marathon participants must maintain at least a 14:00 minute per mile pace or reach the halfway point within three hours.
