Event overview
The Best in the West Triathlon Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7, 2026, at Lewis Creek Park (Foster Reservoir), Foster, Oregon. The venue is fed by the Santiam River and includes Foster Lake. Swim courses use Foster Lake. Cycling routes use miles of low-use roads through hills and along the river. The run course follows a wooded shoreline.
The festival includes a post-race party with a barbecue featuring local produce, beverages, live music, and an awards ceremony. A large campground is available on site. The event also features a healthy living expo and offers races for a range of ages.
