13th Annual Bessie's Walk/Race - Highland Hills
The event takes place on May 30, 2026 at Tri-C Eastern Campus, Mandel Lobby, 4250 Richmond Road, Highland Hills, OH 44122. It is organized by Bessie's Angels, a nonprofit whose mission is to nurture, empower, and educate young women touched by the foster care system and to provide low-income housing.

The run is a timed event and the walk is at participants' own pace. Runners receive a medal. The event features a warm up and a children's area with activities. The event aims to create awareness of the impact of foster care and the trauma that accompanies it, and to raise funds for services such as utility payments, rent assistance, immediate needs, and housing support for program participants.
