Berryman Trail Races
The Berryman 50 Mile and Marathon Trail Races take place on the historic Berryman Trail within the Mark Twain National Forest. The course consists of an approximately 26.4-mile single-track loop through entirely forested terrain.
Participants navigate a route that is continuously hilly. Each loop features a total elevation gain of 2,500 feet and an equivalent elevation loss of 2,500 feet. The event starts and finishes at the Berryman Campground.
The following distances are available:
- 26.4 Miles (one loop)
- 50+ Miles (two loops)
The trail surface is primarily single-track, providing a consistent natural environment throughout the race. Runners completing the longer distance repeat the same loop to reach the total mileage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
