Bergplaas Challenge 2026
The Bergplaas Challenge is an off-road event at Libertas Guest Farm in Hoekwil / Wilderness, Western Cape, held on 28 November 2026. The event comprises mountain bike (MTB) races and trail runs over marked routes on farm and trail terrain. It is the fifth edition organised by Chain Gang Events (Pty) Ltd and is CSA sanctioned; riders must have a current CSA membership or purchase a temp day license.
Accommodation is available at the race village on Libertas Guest Farm. A local bike service station and bike wash will operate at the venue; the bike wash has a R30 suggested fee with proceeds to a local charity.
Entry fees and class details are published for each distance and category, with separate age minimums for the various MTB league classes. Route profiles include recorded distances and elevation for each class. The event offers competitive league distances for youth and adult MTB categories and two trail run distances.
Distances:
- MTB: 15 km, 30 km, 40 km, 70 km
- Trail Run: 7 km, 10 km
