Bennachie Hill Race

The Bennachie Hill Race, held near Oyne in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, is a popular off-road running event organized by Garioch Roadrunners. The senior race covers approximately 8.2 miles (13.1 km) with 1,600 feet (500 m) of ascent, featuring iconic Bennachie summits such as Oxen Craig, Craigshannoch, and Mither Tap. The course returns via the Maiden’s Causeway, passing Hosie’s Well and Nursery Cottage.

A junior race for ages 13–17 spans about 5 km with 150 m ascent. The event offers a challenging yet accessible hill running experience with a friendly atmosphere, supported by Craigdon Mountain Sports. Good trail shoes are recommended for the all off-road route.
