BENefit Mile : Plainfield, Indiana
The ninth annual BENefit Mile takes place on August 7, 2026 at Plainfield Friends Meeting Park in Plainfield, Indiana. The course is net downhill, beginning on Buchanan Street and finishing near the Plainfield Friends Meeting off East Street. The event separates participants into corrals based on estimated finish times and includes post-race festivities.
Event options include an in-person mile run and a mile walk, a virtual mile with a specified results submission window, and a shirt-only purchase option that does not include race entry. Registration for the in-person and virtual options opens on December 27, 2025 and closes on January 31, 2026. Shirt-only purchases open on the same date but close on July 24, 2026; shirts are guaranteed if purchased by July 24, 2026. Registration fees are listed as follows: the in-person mile run, mile walk, and virtual mile each have a $25.00 fee; the shirt-only option has a $15.00 fee. The virtual mile requires result submission between Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3, 2026.
Proceeds from the event support the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in memory of a local runner who died of a rare bone cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
