Event overview
The Winter Night Trail Run is scheduled for January 10, 2026, at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event is sold out. It is a night trail event that requires participants to carry a headlamp or flashlight. The field is limited and all distances are chip timed with disposable chips attached to the back of the bib.
Course and logistics
The course uses a 6.55 mile loop that is nearly all single-track trail. Distances offered:
- Quarter: one lap of the 6.55 mile loop.
- Half Marathon: two laps of the 6.55 mile loop.
Water and aid:
- The loop has two water stops; half marathon entrants have an additional stop at the start/finish area.
- Each stop provides water and Gatorade or an equivalent.
Other logistics:
- Runners will start in small waves of approximately 30-40 racers to spread out the field.
- Parking is available in the park; park gate fees will be collected on entry. Do not exit via the north gate after the race.
- Facilities are portable toilets at the start/finish and at each aid station.
Kit, timing and policies
The event offers an optional long-sleeve tri-blend race tee and a finisher medal that is described as 6 inches wide with a 3D molded border and UV-printed design. Entries are non-refundable; the organizer does not offer virtual entries and medals are only awarded to finishers at the live event. Transfers may be completed through the organizer’s official transfer process. Awards include overall top three male and female and age-group prizes.
