Event overview
The Benbecula Half Marathon takes place on the Isle of Benbecula in Creagorry, Eilean Siar, United Kingdom. The event is scheduled for 30 May 2026 and is listed as the second race on the HEB 3/5 Challenge calendar. The course uses public roads and features a mix of flat and gently undulating terrain, running along coastal roads, through local villages and areas with wildlife. Entries opened on 24 October. Early-bird entry fee was £29 until 31 December, then £33. Refunds at half price are available up to 31 January 2026. Name changes were allowed until 31 March 2026; no refunds or name changes after those dates. Competitors must be at least 17 years old on race day. The event is a Scottish Athletics licensed race run under UK Athletics rules.
Headphones are not permitted on roads that are not wholly closed to traffic; bone-conduction devices that do not sit in the ears are allowed. Anti-doping rules under UK Athletics apply.
Prizes include top three male and female, local and veteran categories (V40, V50, V60, V70), team prizes for three-person teams, and a £50 cash prize for breaking the current course record (male and female).
