3 Islands Marathon Hebrides Pairs / Teams
The event is an officially measured and certified road marathon by Scottish Athletics, held in the Outer Hebrides on the west coast of Scotland. The course starts at Lochboisdale Marina on the Island of Gasay and finishes at the Dark Island Hotel on the Isle of Benbecula. The race can be contested as a Solo, as a Pair, or as teams of 3 or 4. The route is divided into four legs with three changeover checkpoints.
- Four legs between 5.8 miles and 7 miles.
There is a Community Teams category formed by drawing names from individual entries one week before race day; entrants do not have to be local and the Community Teams have their own prize category. Solo prizes are awarded 1st to 3rd for male and female competitors plus various veteran categories. Pairs and teams have male, female and mixed categories with first place only. There is no traditional club team prize based on the first three from the same club. The race has a cut off time of six hours.
Entry fees include a service fee of 4 percent with a minimum of 50p. Refunds before 31 Mar 2026 are £25, and no refunds are provided after 01 Apr 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
