Benarty Hill Race
Benarty Hill Race takes place on 17 June 2026 and is organised by Lomond Hill Runners. The route starts and finishes at RSPB Loch Leven. The course is 7.93 km long with 370 m of ascent and includes two main climbs, sections of faster running between climbs, and a descent typical of local races. The route offers views across Fife and Perthshire and is noted as being accessible from the M90.
In line with Scottish Hill Runners insurance requirements, runners are expected to carry the standard kit and a map and compass because weather on the hill can be variable and the top is exposed and potentially disorientating. Marshalls will be positioned at key locations and there will be some waymarking. A route map and a GPX file are available on the races section of the Lomond Hill Runners website. For every entry, £3 of the fee is donated to RSPB Loch Leven. Entries are non-refundable; if the race cannot take place for reasons outside organiser control, entries will be carried forward to a rescheduled date. The organisers do not accept responsibility for loss of clothing or equipment, and the car park is close to the start to keep warm gear nearby.
