The race follows a route that includes an ascent of Ben Chonzie, a descent to Loch Turret, and a final climb up Carn Chois before returning to the finish area. Participants must navigate via six specific checkpoints:
- Carn Chois

While the recommended fastest and safest route is marked with flags, runners are permitted to choose their own lines between the mandatory checkpoints. The event has a registration limit of 300 participants. In addition to the main course, a junior race is organized with specific routes and categories to be confirmed.
The race starts at a waterfall located a short walk from Comrie Croft. Surplus proceeds from the event are dedicated to supporting and promoting junior hill running in Scotland. Facilities at the site include parking for a fee, and public transport options include direct bus services from Perth and Stirling. Post-race refreshments, including hot food, drinks, and home-baked goods, are provided for all participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
