Event Details
The Ben Chonzie Hill Race is scheduled for April 18th, 2026. It is a Scottish Hill Runners championship race. The route is 22.9 km long with 1435 m of ascent. The entry fee is £15, with a race limit of 300 participants. Entry on the day is possible if space is available.
Course and Route
The 2026 event introduces a new route. It takes runners up to Ben Chonzie, down to Loch Turret, and includes a final climb up to Carn Chois before returning to the finish. The recommended route will be marked, but runners can choose their own lines between six mandatory checkpoints.
Additional Information
A junior race will be held. It is free to enter, and participants will receive juice and sweets. Post-race refreshments for all include hot food, drinks, and homebaking. Parking is available at Comrie Croft for a £3 charge, and car sharing is encouraged. Direct bus services are available from Perth and Stirling via Crieff. Prizes are awarded for the first three male and female finishers, and the first in various veteran age categories (V40, V50, V60). The race sponsor is The Key Cobbler.
