Belpark Phoenix Park Duathlon 2026
The Belpark Phoenix Park Duathlon takes place in the center of Phoenix Park, Dublin. This annual event is held on fully closed roads and serves as both a national championship and the final race in the Triathlon Ireland National Duathlon Series. The competition is structured over a sprint distance and is organized on a not-for-profit basis by volunteers.
The event consists of a single primary race format:
- Sprint Duathlon: 5 km run, followed by a 21 km bike ride, and a final 2.5 km run.
Participants are organized into three distinct waves to accommodate different experience levels, from those taking part in their first duathlon to athletes competing for national titles. The bike course is designed to be scenic, while the running segments take place on flat terrain.
The event utilizes the existing road infrastructure within Phoenix Park to provide a safe environment for all athletes. Registration for the race is managed through the Triathlon Ireland website. As a volunteer-led initiative, the event has a history of contributing proceeds to charitable causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
