Belmont Park's Dipper Dash 5K
Belmont Park's Dipper Dash 5K takes place at Belmont Park in San Diego on September 20, 2026. The event uses a chip timing system and follows a course that opens from the park to beachside views along the Mission Beach Boardwalk, finishing in the heart of Belmont Park.
The event is limited to 1,000 runners and the organizer notes it is about 75% sold out. Ticket options include the main 5K and a Belmont Park Kids Loop. The Kids Loop is a quarter mile and is intended for participants ages 10 and under; the main 5K ticket is intended for participants over age 10.
Included with registration are a race bib with chip timing, a custom finisher medal, one complimentary drink ticket, a complimentary Ride & Play wristband valid on race day, and free event photography. There will be one aid station on the course providing water. A post-race after party at Fit Social features vendors, cold plunges, live DJ sets, and an oceanfront setting. The event supports The Animal Pad Rescue.
Parking is available on site at Belmont Park with additional overflow parking at an alternate lot. Registration terms note that refunds are not available after purchase and transfers are permitted up to seven days before the event for a fee.
