About the race
Belmont Park's Dipper Dash 5K is a community road run held on September 20, 2026 at Belmont Park in San Diego, located at 3146 Mission Blvd. The event is presented by Fit and uses a beachside course that opens from Belmont Park onto the Mission Beach Boardwalk, with the finish located in the heart of Belmont Park. Included with registration are a Ride & Play wristband valid for unlimited rides and attractions on race day, a timing chip and race bib, a custom finisher medal, one complimentary drink ticket, and free event photography. The event features an after party at Fit Social with vendors, cold plunges, and live DJ music.
The run also supports The Animal Pad Rescue, a San Diego nonprofit. There is one aid station on course supplying water. The 5K ticket is intended for participants ages 10 and older; a separate Kids Loop is offered for younger runners. Parking is available on site in Belmont Park lots with an overflow lot noted at 1100 W Mission Bay Drive.
Race day registration is available at check-in for an additional fee. Refunds are not available after purchase, and registrations may be transferred for a fee up to seven days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
