Bellwood Daze River Run
The Bellwood Daze River Run is an annual running event held during the Bellwood Daze celebration in Bellwood, Nebraska. The event for 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026. Proceeds from the 2026 race benefit the Bellwood American Legion Post.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 2-mile
- 6-mile
- 0.5-mile Kids' Run
The 2-mile and 6-mile courses follow a mostly flat, out-and-back route north of town. Surfaces include pavement and gravel and the 6-mile turnaround is located where Clear Creek meets the Platte River. The Kids' Run is held entirely on paved streets in town.
Registration is available online through RunSignup through August 7, with an earlier registration window beginning June 20. An entry form can be downloaded and mailed by July 30. Entry fee categories listed by the organizer include adult and kids fees with options that include a t-shirt or no t-shirt and separate race day fees.
Chip timing is provided by Black Squirrel Timing. Awards include trophies to the top two finishers in each race by gender or division and medals to the top two in specified age groups. Refreshments, including kolaches, are provided after the race. A course map and additional race information are available from the organizer.
