Behind the Rocks Ultra - Moab
Behind the Rocks Ultra takes place in Moab, Utah on April 3, 2027. The event offers multiple distances:
- 10 Mile
- 30K
- 50K
- 50 Mile
The course starts and finishes at the Behind the Rocks Trail along the border of the Behind the Rocks Wilderness Study Area. Runners pass tall Navajo Sandstone domes and fins and travel remote desert trails that include smooth double track, sandy washes, technical doubletrack, and singletrack. The 50 Mile route includes technical down climbs and rim running with views of arches and rock formations and finishes near the La Sal Mountain Range.
This is a cup less event. Runners must bring a reusable cup for aid stations. Water dispensers are located at the start finish area and at every aid station for filling bladders, bottles, and reusable cups. Free camping is available at the start finish area and Mad Moose Base Camp is open to participants and their family or crew. Packet pickup and drop bag collection are located at the start finish line. All runners receive a custom race shirt, a technical trucker hat, and a finisher medal.
