The TFG Beer & Pudding Races
Trails For Good will stage a trail running event in the Peak District, centred on Bakewell and Thornbridge Brewery on 22 March 2026. The event offers two fully waymarked routes that use a mix of terrain and viewpoints around the town, Monsal Trail and the River Wye. Runners climb out of Bakewell, then follow a long gentle descent back to town; the long route includes an additional climb and a downhill section through woodland before rejoining the short route.
Distances and ascent:
- 7 km - waymarked short route, 100 m ascent
- 13.5 km - waymarked long route, 260 m ascent
The event uses a small group waved start format with each entrant allocated a ten-minute start window. Participants must be 18 or older. Long course runners are required to carry a mandatory kit; short course runners must wear kit appropriate for the terrain and conditions. A proportion of each entry fee will be allocated to local businesses and charities in the Peak District. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the Trail Running Association.
The finish area is at Thornbridge Brewery Tap Room, where participants are offered a beer and Bakewell pudding. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
