The TFG Beer & Pudding Races : 22 March 2026
The event takes place at Thornbridge Brewery near Bakewell in the Peak District. It is organised by Trails For Good and will be held under UK Athletics rules with a licence from the Trail Running Association. Entries opened on 10 September 2025 and close on 20 March 2026. Participants so far: 63. Minimum age is 18.
Course, format and kit
The races use fully waymarked trail routes with varied terrain, countryside views, and sections that run along the Monsal Trail and by the River Wye. Distances and climbs:
- 7 km : 100 m ascent
- 13.5 km : 260 m ascent
The event uses a small-group wave start system with runners allocated a 10-minute start window to spread participants on the trails. Long-course runners must carry mandatory kit. Short-course runners must wear kit appropriate for the terrain and conditions.
Facilities and other notes
Finish and event headquarters are at the Thornbridge Brewery Tap Room in Bakewell, where finishers receive a beer and a Bakewell pudding. A proportion of entry fees will be allocated to local businesses and charities. Entry fees differ for affiliated and unaffiliated runners and for each distance.
