Beechworth Beer Run 2026
The Beechworth Beer Run is a trail running event held at Lake Sambell Caravan Park in Beechworth, Victoria. It offers a mix of point to point and loop courses that use the Indigo Mountain Bike Trail and local 4WD tracks. The 30 km course is largely on the Indigo trail with some fast 4WD sections and is bus supported for the point to point transfer. Aid stations include standard trail run provisions, Tailwind Nutrition and an alcohol free beer option at a key checkpoint.
Distances offered
- 30 km point to point from Yackandandah Sport Park to Lake Sambell Caravan Park
- 15 km loop starting and finishing at Lake Sambell using Pipeline and Indigo trails
- 5 km loop around Lake Sambell past the old mine, Chinese Gardens and Sandy Beach
- 2.5 km Kids Cordial Cruze, marshalled loop with a cordial aid station and finisher award
The event is presented with a family focus. All entrants aged 18 and over receive a free beer on completion; entrants under 18 receive two cans of soft drink. Entry refund and transfer terms are published: refunds are allowed if cancellation is notified before 1 September 2026 subject to a A$30 administration fee; no refunds are available after that date.
