Beechworth Beer Run : event overview
The Beechworth Beer Run is a social trail running event held in Beechworth, Victoria on 3 October 2026. The event uses local trails around Lake Sambell and the Indigo Epic / Indigo Trail network, with courses designed for adults and children and a family-focused atmosphere.
The event offers these distances:
- 30km Full Pint point-to-point from Yackandandah to Beechworth using the Indigo Epic and some 4WD trail.
- 15km Half Pint loop starting and finishing at Lake Sambell, using the Pipeline Trail and the Indigo Trail.
- 5km Quencher loop around Lake Sambell passing the old mine, Chinese Gardens and Sandy Beach.
- 2.5km Kids Cordial Cruze marshalled loop around Lake Sambell with a cordial aid station and a unique finisher award.
Aid stations on course include water, Tailwind nutrition and non-alcoholic beer at a designated checkpoint. Over-18 finishers of the main runs receive a redeemable free beer at the finish; under-18s receive soft drink in place of alcoholic products. The 30km course is bus-supported due to its point-to-point format.
Entry terms include staged pricing periods and a refund policy: a full refund less an administration fee is available if cancellation occurs before 1 September 2026; no refunds are available after that date.
