Beater Clough Fell Race
The Beater Clough Fell Race is a category AM event held near Portsmouth Village. The course covers a distance of 10.9 km and features 610 m of total ascent. The terrain consists of flagged routes with steep, rough descents and climbs.
The race headquarters is situated in a lay-by approximately half a mile northwest of Portsmouth Village, located on the A646 road between Todmorden and Burnley.
Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event. All runners are required to carry full FRA kit, which consists of a waterproof jacket with a hood, waterproof trousers, a hat, gloves, a compass, a whistle, a map, and emergency food.
The event includes team prizes for both men and women, with three runners to count for each team. Water is provided for participants at the finish line. Registration is open to both FRA members and non-members.
