Franklin Regional Soccer Boosters present the 24th Annual Beat the Heat 5K on August 22, 2026 at Murrysville Community Park, 4056 Wiestertown Road, Murrysville, PA. The event is a community run and walk open to participants of all ages.

Proceeds support Franklin Regional High School and Middle School boys and girls soccer programs, with a portion of funds benefiting the Rotary Miracle Sports Complex and the Miracle League of Western Pennsylvania. Sponsorship opportunities are offered at various tiers to help reach fundraising goals.
Registration details include a base fee and processing charges for both the run and the walk. Souvenir t-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after August 5. Race day registration is accepted for an additional fee. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Franklin Regional High School back entrance; each packet includes a bib number, timing chip, and t-shirt. The timing chip is attached to the back of the bib and neither bibs nor chips need to be returned.
Parking is available in Murrysville Community Park; Wiestertown Road will close prior to the race. Timing and scoring are provided using RaceResult timing technology and results will be announced at the event and posted online. Awards are given to overall and master finishers and across specified age groups; walkers receive awards to top male and female finishers. Random drawing prizes are distributed after awards, and winners must be present to receive prizes.
