Beat the Bird 5K & 10K : Columbus, GA
The Beat the Bird event offers two road race distances that start and finish at Hardaway High School in Columbus, GA. Courses use a combination of road surfaces and the Rails to Trails route.

Entry fees differ for club members and non-members; listed fees for individual events are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. All participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, the top masters male and female, and the top three finishers in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus for both male and female categories.
This race is part of the Holiday Classic and the Columbus Roadrunner Holiday Series; participants who are entered in the series do not need separate entry for the individual race. To be guaranteed a race shirt, registration must be completed by Thursday, November 13, 2026. Packet pick up is scheduled for November 20, 2026 at Big Dog Fleet Feet on West 11th Street; there is no race day packet pick up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
