Beast of the East Trail Half Marathon & 10k, Jersey
Beast of the East takes place on 25 October 2026 and is organised by Trail Monkey Running. The event features two races that both finish at Devil’s Hole. The half marathon starts at St Catherine’s Woods and the 10k starts at Bouley Bay.
Distances
- Half Marathon (approx. 2,700 ft elevation, 95% trail)
- 10k (approx. 1,600 ft elevation, 95% trail)
The routes run mainly on North Coast cliff paths and woodland trails. Runners should expect technical sections, steep climbs, exposed coastal sections and fast descents. Course markings use arrows and barrier tape, and supportive cut-offs apply for safety and event management.
Entry fees and limits are listed for each distance, with a limit of 100 runners for the half and 50 for the 10k. Entry includes a race number, finisher’s T-shirt, medal, water stops, chip timing and drinks and snacks at the finish.
Mandatory kit is required and may be checked; items include trail shoes, a warm top layer, a foil blanket, rain jacket if required, at least 1 litre of water, a reusable cup, sufficient food for checkpoints, and a charged phone with the race emergency number saved.
