Beast of Big Creek : Mount Ellinor, Washington
Beast of Big Creek takes place on Mount Ellinor above Lake Cushman near Hoodsport on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington, on 1 and 2 August 2026. The event is North America’s only stop on the Skyrunner World Series and is part of the USA Skyrunner National Series and the Trail Tracks Network. Organizers list a seventeen year history of running steep trails to the summit of Mount Ellinor.
Two races are scheduled:
- Skyrace: 24 km, 1,600 m vertical
- Forest Loop: 10 km, 365 m vertical
The Skyrace is described as a mountain skyrace on Mount Ellinor. Listed entry fees are $120 plus platform fees for the Skyrace and $60 plus platform fees for the Forest Loop. Organizers note that price increases may occur and that entry numbers are limited for each race.
