Beara A.C. Autumn 5 Mile Series 2026
The Beara A.C. Autumn 5 Mile Series is a set of four road races held across the Beara Peninsula in West Cork during September, October and November 2026. The series takes place at four distinct locations: Glengarriff, Allihies, Bere Island and Eyeries. Each event is a 5 mile road race and the series is organised as a club autumn programme.
One round, the Eyeries event, is chip timed and offers a team entry option. Team entries require individuals to be fully paid 2026 Athletic Ireland affiliated club members and team runners must wear their club singlet on race day. Young runners are accommodated: under 16s may take part when accompanied by a parent or guardian and entry for under 16s is free. There are also FJ and MJ categories for 16 to 18 year olds.
The schedule spaces the races roughly three weeks apart and routes highlight different parishes and local features of the peninsula, including Glengarriff National Park, the rural setting of Allihies, Bere Island and the village of Eyeries. The series is presented by Beara A.C. and runs across early autumn into early November. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
