About the race
The Beara AC Autumn 5 Mile Series 2026 is a four-race road series held across the Beara Peninsula in West Cork during September, October and November. The series uses four locations: Glengarriff, Allihies, Bere Island and Eyeries, and each race covers a distance of five miles. The permit number for the series is 26/447. Races take place on separate weekends across the season with events in Glengarriff, Allihies, Bere Island and Eyeries.
The Eyeries race is chip timed by Pop-Up Races. Entry conditions note that under-16s may run when accompanied by a parent or guardian with no entry fee for those children. The FJ and MJ categories cover athletes aged 16 to 18. For the Eyeries 5 Mile team entry, individuals must be fully paid 2026 Athletics Ireland affiliated club members, and team entrants are required to wear their club singlet on race day.
