Event overview
The BEAR CHASE takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Bertha, Minnesota. The event is based at Bertha-Hewitt High School, 310 Central Ave, Bertha, MN 56437. Race formats offered are:
- 1 mile Run/Walk
- 5k Run
- 5k & 1 mile Double
Details
Participants in both races are transported by shuttle bus to the start line and finish in front of Bertha-Hewitt School. The 1 mile course is fully paved and described as flat. The 5k course includes small rolling hills.
Online registration closes on July 8. Registrations made after June 28 incur a $5 increase per race and shirt sizes or quantities are not guaranteed. Race day registration is available and is scheduled for the early morning period before the events.
Awards include ribbons for the top three finishers in each division for both races and trophies for the top male and female in each race. Preregistering is recommended to secure a T-shirt due to limited sizes and quantities after June 28. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
