Be the Buffalo Memorial Run for Digits and Needle is a memorial 5K run/walk held on February 7, 2026 in Lexington, South Carolina. The event location is Lexington County Baseball Complex, 432 Ball Park Rd., Lexington, SC 29072. Entry for the 5K is listed at $40; the price increases after January 10, 2026. Purpose, awards and donations
The event is held in memory of two local runners known as "Digits" and "Needle." A portion of race proceeds is donated annually to charities or local families; the 2026 proceeds will support a local family connected to the community. Past donations have included support for community partners such as Soles4Souls. Awards will be given to the Top 3 overall male and female (Masters) and to Top 3 male and female in the following age groups: under 9; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75 and over.
