Be the Buffalo Memorial Run for Digits and Needle
The Be the Buffalo Memorial Run for Digits and Needle takes place Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Lexington County Baseball Complex in Lexington, South Carolina. The event is presented as a memorial 5K run and walk held in honor of two local runners known as "Digits" and "Needle" and their impact on the local running community.
A portion of the race proceeds is donated annually to a charity chosen by the families connected to the memorial. For 2026 the proceeds will go to the family of a Rocky Creek Elementary School secretary who passed away earlier in the year. Previous years have seen community donations, including a $3,000 contribution in 2025.
