Be Ovary Aware 5K run and 3K walk
The 18th Annual Be Ovary Aware event benefits Sue's Gift - Gynecologic Cancer Support. It includes a timed 5K run, a 3K walk, and a remote fundraising option called "Stay in Bed Zero K." The course is an out-and-back, mostly flat route along Fountain Creek on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail, beginning and ending at America the Beautiful Park in downtown Colorado Springs.

Sue's Gift uses funds to provide a Financial Assistance Program that helps people undergoing treatment for gynecologic cancer cover basic living expenses. The organization also runs a Peer Support Program that trains survivors who are one year post-treatment to mentor newly diagnosed individuals; this program was launched with a grant from the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. The event notes that strong emotional, social, and financial support can improve outcomes.
Registration pricing is listed by age category and may be subject to tax and processing fees. T-shirts are not included with standard registration; shirts can be purchased during registration for $25, or received as a thank-you reward after raising $50.
