Be Ovary Aware 5K Run + 3K Walk
The 18th annual Be Ovary Aware event takes place at America the Beautiful Park in Downtown Colorado Springs and benefits Sue's Gift, a gynecologic cancer support organization. The event offers a scenic, flat out-and-back course along Fountain Creek on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail that begins and ends in the park.
Sue's Gift provides a Financial Assistance Program to help people undergoing treatment cover essential living expenses and a Peer Support Program that trains survivors one year post treatment to mentor newly diagnosed people with the same cancer type. The event raises funds for these programs and states that 100% of proceeds raised for fundraising go directly to Sue's Gift programs.
