BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk
The event offers a 5K run, a 1 mile walk, a kids fun run and a virtual 5K held in downtown Toledo at Promenade Park. The course runs along the Maumee Riverfront, crosses the Cherry Street Bridge and passes through Glass City Metropark. Registration options include in-person and virtual participation; virtual entrants receive a T-shirt and a medal.

Entry includes bib chip timing for timed races, a BE FAST Stroke 5K T-shirt, snacks and drinks, a post-race meal, and access to a community resource fair with multiple vendors. Free stroke risk assessments including blood pressure screenings and stroke educational material are provided. Additional on-site features include face painting, balloon animals, a DJ and event photography. A silent auction and raffle are scheduled; raffle proceeds support the event fund.
Financial and registration details: 100% of registration, donations and raffle proceeds go to the ProMedica Foundation Stroke Patient Assistance Fund, which helps cover medications, medical equipment and supplies, transportation, and rent or utilities for patients with limited financial means due to stroke. Registration is free for stroke survivors. The standard registration fee is $25 per participant through 2026-09-25, increasing to $35 on 2026-09-26. Race shirts are not guaranteed after 2026-09-25 and must be collected in person unless the participant is virtual. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
