Event Overview
The Bay Days 5 Miler, 1 Mile, & Kids Track Dash takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event is based at Bay High School in Bay Village, Ohio.
Distances
Participants can choose from several race options:
- A 5 Mile run on a USATF-certified course described as fast and flat.
- A 1 Mile run or walk.
- A 1 Mile Ruck, which includes a patch.
- A Kids' Track Dash held on the Bay High School track.
Festival and Schedule
A separate multi-day festival runs from July 1 through July 4 at Cahoon Park, presented by the Bay Village Kiwanis. On race day, packet pickup and registration open at 7:00 AM at Bay High School.
Runner Perks
Registered participants receive various items. The first 900 entrants who opt in get a Brooks Podium short-sleeve shirt in unisex or women's fit. Late registrants receive a quality soft fit shirt with the same design, though shirt size may not be guaranteed for registrations within two weeks of the event. All finishers get a custom finisher medal. The event features chip timing, age group and overall awards, runner photos, and finish line goodies like popsicles. For the Kids' Track Dash, a shirt is available for a separate purchase.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5 Mile and 1 Mile events. For the 5 Mile, top overall male and female runners are recognized, along with the top three in five-year age groups from 14 & Under to 80 & Over, and top male and female master and grandmaster runners. The 1 Mile Run/Walk awards top male and female runners aged 13 & Under, and top runners in specific younger age groups.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available in advance at Second Sole in Lakewood on July 2 and July 3 during specified hours, and on race day at the Bay High School Track area starting at 7:00 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
