About the race
The Bay Bridge Half is a community-focused road race in Oakland organized by Mascot Sports on May 2, 2027. The event offers a half marathon distance and a new 5K, both routed through parts of Oakland with coastal views.
The half marathon departs from West Oakland and includes several wide, relatively fast miles before reaching the bridge path. The course proceeds toward Treasure Island and provides views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco skyline. The return segment runs past Oakland cranes, urban streets, and rolling hills.
The new 5K is a 3.1 mile route through downtown Oakland. It begins at 3rd Street and Chestnut Street, turns onto Mandela Parkway, continues to 7th Street, and then returns toward the finish-line festival area. The 5K route reconnects with the finish-line festival.
