Battle of the Branches 5K (Syracuse)
The Battle of the Branches 5K is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse (581 State Fair Blvd, 13209). The event takes place ahead of the CNY Veterans Parade and Expo.
The event offers multiple formats: in-person branch team races representing Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard and Space Force, a virtual 3.1 miles option, and a ruck division. All race distances are 3.1 miles. Virtual participants are asked to provide a choice of headband corresponding to a branch after registration.
Registration opens December 29, 2025 and closes January 31, 2026. Entry fees listed for in-person races and the ruck division are $37.50; the virtual option fee is $40.00.
All participants receive a custom Battle of the Branches shirt and a finisher Challenge Coin. The ruck division requires a minimum carried weight: 10 pounds for participants under 150 pounds of body weight and 20 pounds for participants whose body weight exceeds 150 pounds.
