Battle of the Bands 5K
Battle of the Bands 5K is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at Lake Concord Park in Casselberry, Florida. The event features live music along the route, a post race party with beer for participants aged 21 and over, and race timing using B-Tag chips.
Distances include:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Free Kids' Run with distances from about 100 yards to 1 mile, recommended for children 12 and under
The course is USATF certified and begins and ends at Lake Concord Park beneath mature oak trees. Three live bands perform at different points on the course and attendees may vote for a favorite band at the Battle of the Bands tent; prizes are awarded to the top three groups.
Entry is available as in person or virtual. Fees are set in progressive tiers from $40 to $55, with age based discounts for 17 and under and 65 and over, and a group discount when registering three or more participants together. Virtual participants may receive mailed packets for domestic addresses.
Event apparel and awards include a tech T shirt and a finisher medal. Proceeds benefit cultural arts organizations in Casselberry and the Track Shack Youth Foundation. Wheelchair athletes may compete in push rim or handcycle categories and some divisions are eligible for awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
