About the race
The Battle of Stonington 5K is a certified 5K footrace held in Stonington Borough with a separate kids' fun run. The main course loops through the seaside village and uses a single mass start for runners and walkers. The start and finish are on Main Street next to the Stonington Free Library. On-street parking is available near the venue. Food, drink, and an awards ceremony are provided after the event.

Registration opens on September 28, 2026. Entry fees for the 5K change by date: $32 until July 27, $37 from July 28 to August 17, and $42 on race day. Participants under 18 pay $29 regardless of registration date. The kids' fun run has no entry fee and follows a short loop escorted by a police car.
