Battle for Independence Road Race
The Fleet Feet Wilmington Battle for Independence Road Race takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at The Pointe at Barclay, 1450 Barclay Pointe Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28412.
The course follows Independence Blvd and Wilmington's Cross City Trail. The route is described as flat and suitable for both runners and walkers. The event is presented as family friendly and includes recognition of Independence Day and those who serve.

- 1 Mile, not timed
Registration is available online. For the 5K, registration opens February 4, 2026, and closes March 27, 2026; the fee is $35. For the 1 Mile, registration opens February 4, 2026, and closes May 5, 2026; the fee is $25. On-site registration is available at pre-race packet pickup or on race morning using a provided QR code; online registration is accepted until the race begins.
Parking is available in any legal parking spot at the Pointe at Barclay.
